Charles Miller, President & CEO of Leading Edge Geomatics, is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in senior management across several industries. Recognized for his work in shifting organizations into high gear, Charles specializes in operational growth strategies. Charles’ past work has earned notable accolades including Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada, and nomination for Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Charles attributes his success to balancing entrepreneurship with a focus on gaining complete industry and company knowledge. Charles engages with all aspects of Leading Edge Geomatics, making measured decisions to accelerate and improve departmental performance.
Overseeing all financial related matters, Derrick establishes the annual financial plans and strategies of Leading Edge. Starting off as a staff accountant at McCain Foods, Derrick successfully worked his way up to senior management roles. Prior to joining Leading Edge, Derrick held the title of CFO at Mrs. Dunster’s Ltd. Derrick holds a CPA designation with an MBA from University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University.
Coming from a background in architectural and engineering software, Tim has been championing Leading Edge Geomatics software development efforts for the past seven years. Tim is responsible for the research and development of new product offerings, internal automation systems, and innovative services across all Leading Edge verticals. In addition, Tim oversees the direction of Leading Edge’s Information Technology and Information Management strategies.
With an iBBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, Sadaf began her Marketing career in 2011. Over the years, Sadaf built her business development and marketing skills which secured her the title of Marketing Manager at Leading Edge Geomatics. Sadaf’s work encapsulates all branding and marketing efforts for the company, including website development, brand creative, internal and external communications, and social media management. Prior to joining Leading Edge Geomatics, Sadaf served as the Marketing Manager in various industries, including PR, F&B and CPG companies.
Emma oversees all aspects of Human Resources of Leading Edge, from recruiting and hiring, to policy development and performance management. Emma holds a BBA in HR & Marketing from UNB Fredericton, and has worked in various industries including beauty and large event security. Born and raised in Fredericton, Emma joined the company in 2013.
Malcolm is skilled in spatial and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geo-science, LiDAR and Remote Sensing. Malcolm’s professional interests lie in using machine learning and automation to explore new ways of analyzing data and improving current and future remote sensing capabilities at Leading Edge Geomatics.
Malcolm is a Mount Allison University (‘17) alumni and attended COGS (Centre of Geographic Sciences – ‘18) to obtain his advanced diploma in Remote Sensing and Geomatics before starting at Leading Edge Geomatics.
Malcolm became Project Manager at Leading Edge Geomatics in 2021 after transitioning into the leadership of the Project Management team from the Geospatial Processing & Solutions group where he had been a Remote Sensing Analyst and Lead Project Analyst from 2018. In the PMO, Malcolm is able to use his intimate knowledge of geomatics and processing to help refine workflows and interact with customers to ensure product quality is met and exceeded.
You can find him on the ski slopes at Crabbe Mountain in the winter months or cycling around Fredericton in the summer.
Alison Conley studied for her undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, attaining an honours Bachelor of Science degree double majoring in Marine Biology and Oceanography. She additionally holds an Advanced Diploma in Marine Geomatics from the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS NSCC).
Beginning as a junior analyst with Leading Edge Geomatics in 2018, Alison started out focusing on topobathymetric projects but touched on everything from wide area to utility as needed. She has been involved in LiDAR workflows from raw positioning to deliverable production. Since 2019 she has taken on roles of increasing leadership responsibility from junior to bathymetric analyst to bathymetric coordinator and is now the manager of our Geospatial Solutions department, where raw LiDAR of all sorts and photo data is processed to deliverable state. She overlooks the day-to-day operation of the data processing teams.
